Maine law requires anyone wishing to home school their children to complete a Notice of Intent. The notice of intent can be completed online or in person at the Superintendent's office.
Families wishing to continue to home school their children beyond the first year must complete the Notice of Intent every year and provide an annual assessment by September 1st.
Please click here to review more information, laws and frequently asked questions about home instruction from the Maine Department of Education. If you are interested in having your child enroll in one or more classes to supplement their home instruction, please call the school principals to make arrangements.
If you wish to complete the Notice of Intent on line, click here. This form is used for both 1st year and subsequent year filers.
Paper forms, for 1st year and subsequent year filers, are available at the Superintendent's office for completion. The office hours are M-F 8-4 during the school year. Please call ahead for summer hours: 487-5107.
